VH Financial Recruitment is partnering with a leading global organisation to recruit an experienced Credit Controller to join its growing finance function in Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable or Order-to-Cash (OTC) to join a collaborative Shared Service Centre environment.

Working as part of the Order-to-Cash team, you will take responsibility for managing customer accounts, allocating cash receipts, monitoring outstanding balances and ensuring payments are received within agreed terms.

THE ROLE

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of customer accounts
  • Proactively chasing outstanding and overdue debt
  • Monitoring customer payments against agreed payment terms
  • Processing and accurately matching cash receipts
  • Cash allocation and investigation of unallocated payments
  • Analysing customer accounts and resolving discrepancies
  • Maintaining and reviewing customer credit limits
  • Preparing bank deposits and completing account reconciliations
  • Working closely with customers to resolve payment and account queries
  • Supporting intercompany processes
  • Liaising with internal finance teams and key stakeholders
  • Supporting the transition and handover of processes into the Shared Service Centre
  • Assisting with SOP documentation, knowledge capture and knowledge transfer
  • Ensuring compliance with internal financial controls and policies
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement across Credit Control and OTC

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Previous Credit Control / Accounts Receivable experience
  • Strong understanding of Order-to-Cash (OTC)
  • Debt collection and customer account management
  • Cash allocation and receipt matching
  • Customer account and bank reconciliations
  • Experience resolving payment and account queries
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Experience working within a Shared Service Centre environment would be advantageous
  • Process improvement / finance transformation exposure would be beneficial
  • Confident working independently as well as part of a wider finance team
