Salary: Up to £30,000 + Bonus

Our client is a leading global service provider with a strong reputation for investing in its employees and fostering a collaborative, supportive culture. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Credit Controller to join their finance team based in Manchester City Centre.

You’ll take ownership of your own ledger while building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, helping to drive cash collection performance and minimise aged debt.

The Role

As Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of customer accounts and ensuring outstanding payments are collected in line with agreed terms.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the full credit control process across an allocated ledger.
  • Proactively chasing outstanding payments via telephone and email.
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Investigating and resolving invoice and payment queries.
  • Allocating payments and reconciling customer accounts.
  • Monitoring aged debt and escalating concerns where appropriate.
  • Supporting cash flow forecasting and reporting activities.
  • Maintaining accurate customer account records and financial data.

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Previous Credit Control experience.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A confident and professional approach to collections.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Good Microsoft Excel and Office skills.
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset and a desire to develop within a growing organisation.
