The Opportunity

VH Financial Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a modern, global organisation based in Manchester City Centre to recruit an Accounts Payable Process Business Analyst to join their established finance function.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable, P2P or Finance Operations professional who is looking for a role with a strong focus on process improvement, operational excellence, performance management and change.

This is not a traditional transactional Accounts Payable role. You will play an important part in reviewing and improving end-to-end AP processes, analysing performance and supporting initiatives designed to improve efficiency, controls, systems and ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

• Review end-to-end Accounts Payable processes and identify opportunities for improvement
• Develop and monitor KPIs, dashboards and performance reporting
• Analyse AP performance and provide meaningful insight to support decision-making
• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend practical, sustainable improvements
• Support the implementation of improved AP processes and controls
• Maintain effective policies, procedures and process documentation
• Support audit, governance, risk and compliance requirements
• Assist with systems improvements, automation and UAT/testing
• Partner with Finance, Technology and wider business teams on change initiatives
• Support project delivery, tracking actions, risks, dependencies and benefits
• Contribute to wider AP transformation and continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide operational AP support across teams when required

About You

We are looking for someone with:

• Strong experience within Accounts Payable, P2P, Finance Operations or Shared Services
• Good knowledge of end-to-end Accounts Payable processes
• Experience delivering process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience producing KPIs, dashboards or performance reporting
• Exposure to systems implementations, automation projects or UAT/testing
• Strong understanding of financial controls and compliance
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• A proactive approach with a genuine interest in improving processes and ways of working
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification would be highly advantageous
