Job Title: Head of Finance /Professional Services

• Location: Manchester (Hybrid)

Salary: £85,395 – £97,991 + £6,000 Car Allowance + Healthcare
Type: Permanent

• Company: Partnering with VHFR (representing a major client)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a professional services or finance team within a shared service centre (SSC).
• Drive improvements in the financial control environment and process efficiency.
• Act as a strategic business partner, providing financial insight to senior stakeholders.
• Support and deliver transformation and change across the function.
• Ensure strong financial and accounting analysis to improve decision-making.

✅ Key Requirements:

• Professional Qualification: ACCA / CIMA / ACA
• Leadership Experience: Proven ability managing large teams through change.
• Stakeholder Management: Strong influencing and interpersonal skills.
• Project & Transformation: Experience with continuous improvement and business transformation.
• Sector: Background in large corporate or international environments preferred.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of general accounting and end-to-end processes in finance.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

You’re likely a qualified accountant with at least 5–10 years in senior leadership roles within a shared service or finance transformation context. You’ll need strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to deliver insight—not just data.
